Communication
and Tracking Unit

The StarNav Radio is a fully integrated, data communicator and tracking unit. It provides high accuracy position information as well as full two-way messaging capability on the communication network, StarNet. With an onboard radio modem, embedded processor, and choise of internal or external GPS, the unit can be used in both mobile and fixed applications to meet multiple requirements. The three Open Architecture Interface (OAI) ports allow the unit to be configured with ancillary equipmentsuch as; cradit card terminals, bar-code readers, the ECM port in company vehicles, mobile data terminals, alarms, lights, valves, meters and other apparatus. The onboard radio modem transmits this information using packetized data transmission. To save timne and air cost the unit can be easily programmed to self-initiate commands and functions only when required. All the data and position information is transmitted via the StarNet communition network and can be interfaced to StarCom or third party mapping and monitoring software for easy management.

 

The StarNav Radio can be used in both mobile and fixed applications.
